About Greco Apparel

Greco Apparel, Inc. is a family owned and operated company with a long history and tradition of quality service and production. Three generations of Greco family members have been deeply involved in the garment industry beginning with Grandfather Giuseppe Greco, a custom tailor who also ran a men’s clothing manufacturing facility in Philadelphia, PA. His son, Domenick Greco, founded Greco Apparel, Inc. in 1951, producing military uniforms for the US Government. In addition to our owned and operated facilities, Greco Apparel served as a prime contractor for outsourced production. In subsequent years our product line was expanded to include tailored clothing and sportswear for men, women, and children at retail. The distribution channels included major department, discount, chain, and specialty stores.

After earning his BBA from George Washington University in 1973, Domenick’s son, Joe, started full time in the family’s domestic contracting business. While managing the men’s tailored clothing factory in Philadelphia , he simultaneously operated a contract-sourcing business, working with factories throughout United States . Products included tailored clothing, outerwear, dress pants, shirts, and jeans.

Our dedicated production facilities are located today in the Dominican Republic, employing a stable workforce of skilled operators, cutters, and shipping and support staff members. Our staging and shipping headquarters is in Miami, and our administrative offices are located in Ambler, Pennsylvania, outside of Philadelphia.
